WTB Hunting rifle

I'm moving soon, so I would like to pick up a good hunting/target rifle for a new hobby when I get to the Free States.

I'm mainly looking for a rifle chambered in .308 but basically anything that can take down a deer is what I'm looking for.

I need the rifle to come with a scope and rings as well. Located in north Orange County and want to do the PPT at Ade's Gun Shop in Orange.
My price range is about $500 or less.
