This is mostly the issue that would trigger scammer, not the email use unless preceded by “my friend Joe Blo has what you’re looking for at xxxxx@gmail.com”.

Some users prefer email contact. Even some older users want potential buyers to email them instead.

Agreed we all have to start somewhere, I'm not very active here as my post count indicates. I have one transaction here (with positive feedback) in which I sold a firearm, and am meeting someone on Sunday for an ammo PPT.

Maybe I jumped to conclusions, but I'm following my gut on this one regarding the user "walbermicheal" that contacted me and choose not to pursue it further.
