Almost as soon as I posted my WTB, a person with a new account as of today messaged me and referred me to his friend and gave me an email. Is this the same experience you had?

This is the most common version of the scam we have seen around here lately.

Who is your scammer and did you report him?

I haven't reported him, given that I wasn't sure of the common type of scammer. I even emailed the guy, but his English is horrible and I figured something was off.

I'll report the referrer.

im sorry,, here you go i "purchased" a rf-100 from this guy and he only accepted zelle as payment said his son needed it for college he demanded a screenshot which is wierd but i like an idiot sent it and wooosh hes gone..the screenshot is the giveaway i think because they might work in tandems from abroad? not sure but burned and pissed

My bank app doesnt let me take screen shots if you check your acct there will be a dep of 220 and i sent it

Not sure what that means but i sent 220 dollars to that acct i doubt someone else sent him 220 dollars out of thin air.. he has it not sure what to say

how do you report him ? it doesnt matter he never posts so its a ghost account

I see that you have your email visible for everyone to see.
You may want to change your user control panel so that only friends see your email account if you intend to post WTB ads.

YES - that is the hallmark of the scam. Stevie Wonder can see it's a scam.
