    WTB Trap / Skeet Shotgun - 12Ga

    Hi,

Looking for a good trap / skeet shotgun with a smaller length stock and prefer 12Ga. Thanks!

Located in the OC / Riverside Area, will travel.

Are you looking for a general purpose clays gun for a variety of sports? Generally trap guns and skeet guns have very different features. A little more clarity may help you linked up with the appropriate shotgun.

Mainly for trap but really do not know anything about shotguns. I have a very small LOP (unsure what it is) but I am 5 ft 4 in and looking for a gun that would fit me well.

Unless you are really committed to trap, I would encourage you to get a sporting clays gun or a field gun like the Remington 870 or 1100 to start. Trap guns are a pretty specialized. I would encourage a beginner to hold off getting a dedicated shotgun until they get more experience.

            -just on man's opinion.

Gotcha, I have an 870 DM and find that it just has way too much recoil for me to even handle. Shot a friends semi auto 12Ga meant for hunting (I do not know what it was exactly) and loved it.

So you think some kind of semi auto non specialized shotgun?

That would work great for getting started. Something like a Remington 1100 would be a great start.
