Every P238 has a stainless steel slide. Even the black Nitron slides are stainless steel. The slide on the HD is no different than any other P238 slide.

What makes the HD version different is it also has a stainless steel frame compared to the other versions which have aluminum alloy frame. The aluminum ones are a lot lighter, great for carry. The stainless frame is heavier but perhaps more durable over the very, very long haul.

You also must post your location. Per forum rules, but also important since you are looking for an off-roster gun. No one is going to answer your plea for an off roster gun without a location, since a transfer must be done in person.

Good luck with your search. I would also keep my eyes open for any off roster version. The alloy frame models are also very nice.
