You're exempt wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to find one from someone out of state or use a middleman instead of paying a CA premium? Also check prices of the magazines they are getting hard to find and expensive.

It's going to be expensive and a PITA no matter what. A lot of the places online won't ship here because even with an LEO exemption the paper work seems to be too much.
