What? LOL most black powder guns dont even have any markings plus they aren't even considered firearms. How does one dros that?
What exactly are you looking for?
I have a 1864 US Springfield rifle (civil war era, i believe they are called model 1863) that I accidentally won on an auction site (proxibid at little johns auction service). My computer glitched and froze, and I thought I was bidding on a gun that just had passed. I think I paid like $475 after fees..I would sell it for $300 just to get rid of it, I know nothing about it and never got around to testing it out.
If thats something you are interested in let me know I can take some pics.Last edited by xxINKxx; 05-30-2018, 4:50 PM."If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." - Thomas Jefferson -
Many original black powder weapons do have serial numbers as some companies both in existence today and some out of business did put numbers on their guns since the early to middle 1800's for their own records so they knew where it was built and by whom. Check with colt for example. All replica black powder do have numbers but I have found a few that didn't including one CVA model and many had numbers polished off over the years. Numbers were not required until the 19th century.Comment
