WTB - Older Remington 12ga. 870 Wingmaster Shotgun in San Diego!

    Hi

Looking to buy an older, used (blue finish) Remington 12ga. Wingmaster in San Diego. I want a shooter not a safe queen. Not too concerned about the stocks or barrel. A little bluing loss / rust here and there is fine as long as it doesn't affect the operation.

If you have one you want to sell, , please PM with details and bottom line cash price. I'll pay the dros at the FFL. A pic isn't necessary. Ready to buy now.

    Thanks for looking!

I don't know how you feel about paying shipping FFL fees, but I saw a few 2 3/4" Wingmasters on Gun Broker today in the $200-$250 range today.

Might be worth checking out. I didn't find the "perfect one" for me, but they were out there.

Those old wingmasters are the best shotguns ever. Friend of mine fell through the ice while hunting in Alaska and he used his to prop himself up and claw his way onto a chunk of ice and survived. Had hairline cracks on the stock. He used to lend it to me when my broke *** was too poor to afford my own so I could go trapshooting. I busted 25 straight with that gun. The new 870's are POS, just straight junk.

I was pleased with a buddy's new 870 Security (Big 5 Special) so I won't say ALL new 870's are junk, but an 870 WM is on my list as the next (probably last) pump shotgun I'll buy.

One of my brothers got a 3" magnum version back in the late 70's / early 80's. Even after years of his abuse, it is FAR and away the smoothest pump I've shot.

When I find one with a 28-30" paired with a rifled barrel at a good price, I'll be buying it.

I'm thinking of looking for one m'self, but I have a mossberg 500 that just needs a new stock. Have the itch to go trapshooting again.
