WTB: Older 22 bolt action rifle NorCal

Looking for an older wood stocked 22lr bolt action. Prefer clip but a nice single shot would be good. Remington Winchester Marlin whatever. needs to have tip off mount grooves or drilled for scope mount. This is for my granddaughters so I have to be able to cut the stock down to fit if I need to. NorCal East Bay Area. I don't mind driving for a good rifle.

There's a few older .22 bolt rifles on the used rack at City Arms East

Somebody out there has to have an old Marlin 25 or 925 for sale.

I have a nice looking old Westernfield's bolt action .22 clip fed from the 30's but i don't think wacking the stock off whould be fitting for a gun that has made it through more than 80 years.

I'll recommend the bolt action Marlin model 100g single shot
Very safe to handle for first time shooters!
I just got mine, this one is so old that doesn't have a serial number this was from when serial numbers wasn't required!
