Hello I have always wanted one of my own ever since I shot my grandpas. I paid for one about 5 years ago and waited for a long time and it never showed up. Got a refund and then it dropped off the handgun list! I have 1,000 cash now for a private party sale because that's he only way I'm getting one! I'm located in Santa Rosa ca

You do not need to go private party, the S&W M-41 is on the Olympic Pistol exemption list for not needing to be on the handgun roster. I bought mine on Gunbroker and had it shipped in from out of state to my FFL... completely legal. Or you can have your local gun store order one, most are unaware of the Olympic Pistol exemption list, you'll need to print out the PDF file in the link below to show it to them.

also check out gun broker. Most distributors don't have these .. and 1K may be a bit low, but good luck either way
