    WTB: 9mm or .380 under $350

My sister is looking for her first handgun and has a budget of $350 right now. She and her boyfriend are about to buy a house and want something for protection. Please let me know what you have.

At the price maybe a shotgun would be better? It's possible but gonna be something a little rough. Good luck with the search though!

We are looking more for a S&W SD9VE or something like that.

In that price range, the S&W SD9VE is a great choice. I see the older Sigmas here every so often for around $300. The newer ones have a better trigger, but they are great, reliable guns.

9mm ammo is usually cheaper and easier to find in more flavors than .380
In my opinion, there's no reason to buy a .380 unless your looking for a compact gun to carry. Get the 9mm.

Hipoint 9 mm or 380acp, both less than $350 each. Since they are sturdy, can also use as a club to whack the intruder
Seriously I do have a bnib unfired Taurus TCP380 380 ACP for $350, but Santa Clarita is too far from OC.
