    receiver

What parts kit are you getting? NoDakSpud is sold out of NDS-1 premium (and more expencive) receivers for 7.62X39 fixed stock, as well as NDS-3 economy, but still very good quality receivers. You can get receivers for AK-74, side folder, and fixed stock models, as well as Polish underfolder and some other models that are in stock. I'll be ordering several receivers on Monday, but I am in Sacramento. Their web site and price list:

    Have fun building it.

Do not trade an ar lower for an ak lower, it is a bad deal, unless your getting all of the ak parts to build an entire ak.

Buy a flat w/rails and borrow someone's flat bending jig.

Now you've got an AK receiver for 25$.

This is what I have been offered for a Double Star lower.
NDS-3 NIW and tapco G2, slant brake, and PG
Is this good or should I pass. I have no clue about AK's.
            Thanks guys for the help

              NDS-3

I've seen NDS-3 sold on GB today for $155... http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIte...Item=116639664
If the guy pays PPT for both parties that's an OK deal I would say.

Its an OK deal. Your lower is about $200 (today)

That NDS is about $125, the trigger kit = 28, the PG ( if US)=$10, brake (if US)=$10.

So he actually makes out a little better than you, but at least you get all that stuff at once.

What does the NIW stand for?

                    New In the White.

Normally, it would mean that it hasnt been heat treated or finsihed.

The NDS-3 should have the "Kiln" finish. Should be heat treated and an have a chalky black look. If its just bare metal... truely INW, then you'll need to heat treat some holes, and the ejector.
