WTB: Bersa Thunder 380 or 22

Finally back on the hunt after spending all my money on a house last year!


Looking to buy the following:


Bersa Thunder 380
would like to stay under $325 (incl fees), depending on what it comes with
not Firestorm


Bersa Thunder 22
would like to stay under $325, see above
not Firestorm


I'd like to pick up something that hasn't been beat to hell or fired umpteen thousand rounds. As always, the newer the better.

I'm not in a hurry to make a purchase and am very willing to wait until the right deal is presented.

Would prefer to meet within a reasonable distance of Orange (55 fwy @ Chapman) for transfer.... let's say, 15 miles? Mainly because I have to drive the distance twice (once to buy, then again after the 10-day hold).

I'd like a pre lock Firestorm or Bersa 22 as well. Problem is I never see them as I don't think they were ever on the roster so it seems not many are in CA. A Bersa 380 for less than $325 should not be too hard to find.

Ahhhh the Thunder, not Firestorm. What's the difference between them?

I believe the Thunder is not on the list, but the Firestorm is. I picked up a Firestorm 2 months ago for $299 from Elite Arms in Manteca. I think they had a couple left. OTD was around $350 after DROS and tax.

Great little gun. I was torn about keeping my 9mm or go with the .380 or try to find a compact 9mm. Couldn't find anything that fit my hand as well as the Firestorm, so I'm in the .380 camp now :-)

I've shot both and find the Thunder to be a bit better in fit and finish... not the best, just better. But maybe that was because the Firestorm I shot was made back when Llama was still co-manufacturing them. Also, the finger grooves on the Firestorm don't feel right to me.
