The PPQ M2 is not ambidextrous. It has a standard left side mag release
The M1 has the paddle release like the HK's and VP9
You might also find a Gen 4 Glock, which has a reversible mag release for less

Thank you for the advice! We are circling back on the M1 as a consideration for the paddle release. She is a beginner, but we are going to work at getting her more proficient with some lessons. We are fortunate to have a range that has a VP9, PPQ M2, SW M&P (full size) and Glock 19 (as everyone does). We have some time at the range scheduled with them tomorrow. She is German and thought owning a Walther or HK would be fitting... They also get great reviews. Thanks again.Comment

The mag release is reversible on the PPQ M2. Just takes a few minutes.Comment
