    My wives birthday is coming up and I would like to find her a pre-lock 357 smith in a shorter barrel location Benica

      Are you limited to .357? There are some BNIB S+W models in .38 with no lock for around $450. I just picked up a 442 for $439 at my LGS...no lock model 442-1...
