Shooter Luger

Nice, all matching Po8 Commercial's can be had from the on-line auction houses for around $1100.
I have a "non-matching" (parts gun) 1937 Mauser S42
which has been "made into" a matching number gun by the idiots who rebuilt it decades ago - which means that most of the original two-digit numbers on the individual parts were ground off - crudely- and then restamped - which ruins any collector value - but has nothing to do with how well it works - which is very well, thank you.
This gun was refitted somewhere along the line with a new 6" ("Navy" length) barrel in 9 mm, and has two good magazines that work, a third that feeds fine, but is hard to load, and three others that need new springs.
The frame has some minor pitting - most of which does not show, and has been "checkered" on the front strap - crudely - while all the upper parts are very nice - except for the ground off numbers ...
