WTB- used Harley Davidson

hi guys

i wanted to buy a used harley davidson at a resonable price. Looking for something afforadable and reliable. Sporster 883 or 1200 is probally good enough for what i need. but if you got an old one sitting in the barn not being used or it does not run and need work then, that fine too. i don't mind working on bike. basket case and unfinish project are welcome.

this is my first Harley so if you are offering me a $12000 bike than forget it. Not that i can't afford it, but want something practical for my every day ride, at least for now.

i did check craiglist so i kinda know how much things a worth or the going price. my price range is well... let say $3500-$3800 for something in a good shape

i got some C&R rifle to trade if you rather trade + cash. don't ask me what C&R Rifle i got to trade, you need to tell me what you got first.

i'm in no hurry, take you time. email me or PM me. will try to chek it often. i live in eastbay in Pinole, CA near Vallejo, CA. so people in the bay area is perfer, but will travel if price is right.

i have a 1990 heritage softail with a few small mods & some extra chrome. strong runner, 22k miles, in san jose for $10k & would work a trade for guns / ammo.

1974 FX w/96 CI Shovel Head in a custom modified frame. A stripped down go fast bike, if i doesn't help it go or stop it was pulled off.

Good luck findinig a HD for the price you are willing to pay. Not that a deal doesn't come along now and then but even "basket" cases are worth more than $3500 imo.

There was a Sportster basket on Craigslist the other day for $1200...shouldn't be too hard finding a Sportster in the $3500 range.

in last few years prices have dropped on harleys but, with the recent gas prices they have gone up again. a cheap one will be a sportster.

Yeah, 3500 is about the Hardly-Davidson price range...
The Japs really do make some nice bikes.
