CED (Capacitive Electronic Disk) video player + movies

I have a CED (Capacitive Electronic Disk) player, manual, and around 40 movies that play on it.

The CED format was a competitor to Laser disc back in the early to mid 80's. Basically CEDs are like vinyl records in that the are analog (rather than digital like laser disk). The picture quality is better than VHS tapes and has chapter searching like DVDs have now. You can also fast forward with out lines like VHS and pause with the image perfectly on the screen.

I am moving to NY in a few weeks and would like to pass my collection on. I have the players ($90 on ebay), an extra stylus and extra belt ($50), and 40+ movies ($5-20 each). There are a few james bonds, a few cult classics, and lots others.

Lemme know if you are interested. First $75 takes the whole mess of stuff. Prefer someone in SoCal, but shipping is not out of the question if you will pay (probably $50 due to all the movies).

There seems to be some sort of market for these on ebay, I would try there. I had one of these once and they're kind of funny little machines. Fun museum piece. Good luck.

Holy crap. We had one of these. I'd love to check it out, but i'm way out of the area and shipping that much stuff would be way too costly. Seems like those units were really heavy too. Much more than a VCR.

Instead i'll bump your thread for you.
