You need to do more research. I'm the original owner of this rifle and it's absolutely a Ca model.

n2fooz, if you look at Kel Tec's web site you'll see that the SU-16CA has the front sight on the handguard rather than at the muzzle. It's an A model.

The A, B, and CA are all featureless and CA compliant. If it was closer to me I'd buy it.

I have the original invoice and it only says SU16, same with the user manual. I always thought it was the CA. So amidst all the controversy I reviewed the Kel-Tec site. The SU16 I have has an 18.5" barrel and does not have the sight integrated into the hand guard. Both consistent with the A model. Thanks Junkie for pointing out my error.

I bought the rifle, I know what it is. It's an SU16CA. The front sight got cracked and I took it off. When I purchased it the only option in California was the SU16CA.

Due to the current controversy I'm going to refrain from insisting it's a CA model. It was marked as a CA and the salesperson told me it was a CA. It is possible that I've been living a lie for 10 years so I think I'll need to take my own advice, do more research and contact Keltec to see what's going on.
