Other info: This was my father's deer rifle. He was the original owner and he loved it. He probably only used it about 10 seasons and I doubt he actually fired more than a few 100 rounds through it. I can remember when I was a kid, he would fire four rounds at the range each year to check the sight then off he would go to Utah for the hunt.
He developed health issues in the late 70's and that ended the hunting.
I finally inherited it from my mother about 3 years ago. I took it to the range and ran 40 rounds through it, what a hoot.
Replaced the furniture with black composite and was going to upgrade the optics (notice new rail), but now I am moving in a different direction and need room in the safe for other toys.
Comes with the scope my dad had on it (pictured) Weaver K4 60b on Redfield mount. Comes with the original furniture too but while the finish is in decent shape it is a bit dried out and has some cracks. Sling is original and is also pretty dry.
Rifle bluing is in great shape.
Only real negative is the magazine was left on the floor of his safe for years and it has rust and pitting on one side (I believe replacements are easily available)
