Other info: First up is a very nice 44US(a) heavy barrel target rifle used by the US Military in 1943-'44 to teach soldiers at basic training marksmanship. The rifle has 95% blueing with a couple of scruffs on the heavy lead lapped barrel. The heavy Walnut stock is in great condition with no cracks or gouges. The rifle comes with rear S-100 target sights and front hooded sight that the hood is usually missing from. The rifle is also factory drilled and tapped for period sidemount scope... very desirable. It also has the original 7rd magazine with shorts adapter. A great piece of history to ad to any collection. Get the rifle that was used to teach GI's marksmanship before they were issued M1 Garands.
Next is a model 146B T-bolt tube fed target rifle. The rifle has all 3 sights on it and the valuable T-bolt handle. The sights alone on this rifle can go from $130 - $175. The T-bolt handle usually sells for $100+ by itself. The rifle has a nice brown patina on the barrel and the stock has a few scratch's and flaking varnish but looks great for it's age. Being tube fed it will hold 18 LR or 30 shorts ! The receiver is also grooved for period scope mount's if thats what you prefer. It feeds from the tube well and you can practically forget when you last reloaded between tubes.
Both rifle are in great condition for their age and available for FTF cash&carry until midnight tonight. These are both from my private collection but are doubles so they are for sale, prices are firm. Really only looking to sell one though, so once one sells the other will go back into storage. Please PM any questions and thank you for looking.
