SOLD Yugoslav rebuilt K98k with original barrel code

    SOLD

Please note: first unconditional "I'll take it" posted here, gets it.

Make: Germany (refurb by Yugoslavia, post-WWII)

    Model: Kar98K bolt-action rifle

    Caliber: 8 mm Mauser

Location (city or county): Claremont, CA

Price: $425 or best reasonable offer

Will ship (Y/N): Yes for $35 via USPS Priority Mail, insured.

    Other info:

WTS my only post-war Yugoslav rebuild, a K98k in excellent shape. Unlike the vast majority of Yugoslav rebuilds, this one retains the original barrel code and year. It is a 1944 J.P. Sauer & Sohn with many surviving Waffen Ampt stamps and numbers on the smaller parts. It is one of the well-known 'W' prefixed rifles, and is arsenal (re-)stamped to match. The few 'W' prefix rifles out there retain their original markings, but no other information about why seems to be known, or at least circulated. It shows no sign of ever having had a Yugoslav rebuild facility designation on the left receiver rail. It still bears the ERMA stamped 'Mod.98' marking in Gothic script. It also has an original German made red glue laminate stock with faint but present Waffen Ampt and Heer stamps.

The barrel is flat-out excellent, very shiny, and with strong lands and crisp crown. As far as stock condition and bluing go, please refer to the pics. The rifle still has the sight hood and cleaning rod.

Trades are for ammo only, as follows:

9 mm Luger by anyone not Russian
    7.62 x 39 by Prvi, Brown/Silver/Golden Bear, or Fiocchi
    M855 5.56 green tip

Any questions? Please ask. USPS MO or a Bank Check or Money Order from East West bank or Cathay Bank are the only forms of payment I accept. Cash is fine for FTF pick-up. C&R FFL or 01 FFL is required unless purchased FTF in SoCal.

My ignore list is so big that sometimes, I will click on a thread and there's literally nothing there.
