I would sell my AR15 with all the extras and 1500 rounds of 223 for this gun.

Take the gun out of the plastic. What's the condition of the inside of that barrel. Have you ever heard of moisture? If the gun has never been out of the bag, do you ever clean and oil the gun to protect it from rust.

I was lucky to pick up the same gun, no box from turners fountain valley for $1500 in mint condition a couple weeks ago, I can't believe I got it, but then i have to wait 30 days plus 10 more. but its worth it for your dream gun. They're smaller in person. 4 " is a great size. The bluing and the feel is amazing. As for price I just tracked two on gunbroker. One exactly like this sold for $3550 with 21 bids and one from 1993 nib sold for $3480 with 45 bids. Just FYI

Does the serial of the gun match the numbers on the bottom of the box?

That box was used in the 60's. A 60's Python is worth more than a 80's Python, IMHO
