Other info: This is another new mini 14 ranch (wood/blued) I have a couple more 20rd rebuilds I will let go with it and I can throw in a hundred rounds or so of ammo. This rifle is new condition.

I am looking for a 18-20" barrel pump preferably an 870 but hit me up with whatever you might have. I AM NOT INTO PISTOL GRIP SHOTGUNS. Regular stock (synthetic is ok) with a short barrel.

I price the rifle alone at $700, each mag at $34, and bullets(5.56) at $8 a box.

A Mini-14 will shoot 5.56 all day. Know that from personal experience and endorsed by Ruger. This is straight off their web site under their FAQ's:

Can I shoot 5.56 NATO ammunition in my Mini-14 or Ranch Rifle?

With the exception of the Mini-14 Target Rifle, which accepts only .223 Rem. ammunition, .223 Rem. and 5.56 NATO can be used in all Mini-14 rifles and Ranch Rifles.
