Legally in CA you have to meet at a dealer to transfer a handgun, aka "PPT" or "Private Party Transfer"... Sounds like you have seen the acronym "FTF" which means people prefer to meet "face to face" as opposed to shipping to the FFL (Federal Firearm License) dealer which will then legally transfer the firearm to the buyer. Do not ship the firearm direct to the buyer as you maintain liability for the firearm until the legal transfer is completed by an FFL dealer. Yes you can sell ammo with it, but not in itAlso, people will remind you this isn't the right forum for this question, as this forum is dedicated to "For Sale" ad's only. Questions can be posed in the California Handguns forum.

Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep; -
