You beat me to it. Sad that so many CA forum members, themselves, are ignorant of the facts. I'll also add that this gun would easily qualify for the single action revolver (not to be confused with the single shot exemption) exemption, as all a dealer or buyer would have to do (or the seller, for that matter) would be to temporarily remove the DA sear from the gun. It otherwise meets the overall size and barrel length to then be exempt.

I stand corrected. As it was so elequently pointed out, you actually can send the gun to a CA FFL. Once it gets here, you have to be in law enforcement or convert it to a single action to buy it, which is exactly what I originally said you had to do to transfer it to a CA buyer. This is a prime example of a distinction without a difference. The logistics of how you get to the exact same place seems to be more important to some people than the end result.
