Other info: For sale is a 1911 Swedish Mauser model M96 with a Walnut stock. This is a mismatch rifle, but the bolt and receiver are matching, which functionally is most important. This is not a B model, so the barrel is NOT threaded, it was not a training rifle and has excellent rifling. The "bullet test" results show the round barely entering the end of the barrel suggesting minimal wear on the barrel. These rifles are tack drivers with outstanding ballistics in the 6.5x55 cartridge, a phenomenal hunting and target round. I do not know if the sling is original, it is missing the brass retainer near the barrel end.
