    Handgun transfer question

    Make: S&W

    Model: K 19-3

    Caliber: .357 Mag

Location (city or county): Los Angeles

    Price:

    Will ship (Y/N):

    Other info:

The Model 19-3 .357 has had some problems with cracking of the forcing cone after intense firing of Mag ammo. Is the piece still OK for private non-family transfers or is it considered "unsafe"?

Really this is the wrong forum for questions.

But if are selling one that is damaged just state it and sell as needing repair or parts only. If you are selling a gun that can be safely shot as it sits. But the model has been known for a defect then just sell as good working order. Not all guns of that model will develop the same flaws.

Not every Firestone tire blew up, not every Toyota had the throttle stick and so on.

I think the question (problem?) is that he has heard the model has problems, maybe not this particular gun, and worries about selling it because it is prone to problems.

          I think.
