Make: Ruger
Model: Mini 14 - 180 series - one of the first 1000 rifles made
Caliber: 223
Location: SF North Bay
Price: $900
Will ship (Y/N): Maybe to a collector, but if I do will be on your dime.
Other info: This is a very rare "Southport" 180 series model mini 14. The serial number is 00783. This is the 783 rifle made by ruger. Ruger only made 1000 of these rifles before moving manufacturing to another factory and changing the design features of the rifle for mass production. These rifles are basically custom with a M14 style adjustable rear sight, a gold bead front sight and other distinct features. Ruger records department confirmed the sale date of January 1975. This rifle is in excellent condition. Comes with the original box and manual. PM me if you want more information and/or more pictures. The only other one I could find for sale online listed at $1,550. I am selling for what I have into it.
Note: Again this is a collector item. I have not shot the rifle. I am the second owner and my understanding is the rifle was part of the original owners collection who was a Sheriff who was assigned this rifle in 1975 when the mini 14 came out and was only sold to Law Enforcement.
