Make: COLT
Model: PYTHON
Caliber: 357 Magnum
Location (city or county): San Jose
Price: $SOLD
Looks like I priced it a bit too high initially.
Will ship (Y/N): N - since this is off list it needs to be FTF PPT
In the spirit of the 2nd amendment and to be the opposite of gunbroker etc.
NO SALES **OUTSIDE** OF CALIFORNIA. :-)
This beautiful gun is the holy grail of Colt Pythons to me.
Super Nice example of the best of the best.
It is so nice that it is hard to look away and really hard to put it down!
This could start or finish a top notch collection.
100-200 rounds through it by my Dad and I when he first bought it.
Perfect size, the best finish, and the best grips.
This is a 1989 gun.
This is something you definitely don't see everyday.
What you see is what you get:
-Pristine gun
-Original Rubber grips with Colt Medallion
-Vented Rib and adjustable target sights
-Tight action with perfect timing
-Silky sexy super smooth action
-you get the blue case and owners manual too
Notes:
I am an honest guy and not a revolver or python expert.
From doing research and looking the gun over with a microscope,
there are two thing to note.
1. there is a little bit of carbon on the inside of the frame surface just around the barrel where it enters the
cylinder area. This was likely not perfectly cleaned when my dad shot it last.
I am not going to touch it and let the new owner clean it. This is clearly shown in the picture of that area.
2. I did not see it until I researched Pythons, but there is a very faint line on
the cylinder from operation. I don't think I could even see it in the photos
but in person it is just barely there. i am sure there is a name for it.
Payment to be made with cash face to face and the PPT done in
the SF bay area. My first choice is Roger's Relics in Santa Clara, as
I would like to give them the business. Other local FFLs are ok too.
Buyer to pay all transfer fees.
I might be willing to make a drive out of town to a motivated buyer.
Pitch your proposal and gas money and I will consider it.
I am not generally open to trades at this time.
Though if you had a LNIB HK45 LEM full size or HK P30 LEM and cash
we could talk.
Now for the very fine gun porn:
-the mirror finish makes this hard to photograph
-there is some dust/fuzz on the gun - I wanted to get the details
and with these photos you can see everything.
-any weirdness on the finish is just because the gun is so darn shiny
Enjoy and PM me with any questions you have
thanks for looking
-Phil
(will add the rest of the pictures to the next post)
-trying to figure the photo thing out
