S&W 28-2 $old to Killawhale415
Kimber Classic Custom Traded to Paul_R
Thanks to the both of you and do enjoy
My Kimber is a full custom worked, hand fitted gun with not very many original parts left. Also, not on California safe list so has to be face to face, private party transfer. The fit and finish of this pistol is really nice and that is understated. The fit and finish is on par with the Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, Nighthawk, etc. and, for example, the safety, was fitted better on my gun than on the brand new $3500 Wilson when I had it transferred at TDS when I bought it last year. No bs. I'm not overly excited to get rid of this piece, but need to free up some funds to complete my AR.
This is what the guy who bought my smith had to say about my Kimber for sale.
''Hey Bret it was nice to meet you and thanks for the Smith!
Good luck with the sale on the 1911, like you said if people could see it and handle it that thing would be gone.
I hope you had a good weekend
Thanks
Jon"
Has a Wilson Speed Chute magwell that has also been blended to the frame.
SVI Tri-Glide trigger system (trigger, sear, and disconnector). The trigger breaks at less than 3lbs and is so smooth, and crisp. Trigger has almost no creep and barely any over travel. Would make an excellent IDPA gun, or so I’ve been told…
SVI bar stock ambidextrous safety.
Wilson Combat beavertail safety fitted nicely to the frame.
The slide, frame and match grade barrel are all factory Kimber parts. The barrel bushing was hand fitted as was the slide to the frame.
Titanium firing pin. Also, since it's a 'series I' pistol, it is not equipped with a firing pin safety like virtually all of the 'series II' pistols.
It has an Infinity SVI Auto Xcelerator lightweight commander hammer, made from hard tool steel.
Ed Brown magazine release with over sized button.
No MIM parts. Everything in this pistol is top shelf.
Hogue wrap around grips.
Full length 2 piece steel guide rod.
Wolf springs replaced throughout the gun less than 800 rounds ago.
And the gun was refinished at CCR along with 4 Wilson 47D magazines to match, (included).
Since the refinish, I have fired approximately 750-800 rounds through it. This gun is ridiculously accurate. The total round count is unknown but pistol was fully worked over with the custom hand fitting and parts, then refinished to better than new. Pistol is better than new. No rattles or regrets.
There’s probably something I’m forgetting but this is about it. I would like to get $1300. Pretty firm but interested in trade for a nice AR. Let me know what you got.
I am currently looking for AR-15 goodies in general. May consider trade for a whole rifle or just a lower half (what I need right now) or just let me know what you have, I might be interested but cash is generally king…
I am located in Lake County, but am willing to drive towards Sacramento, Williams, Santa Rosa, or Ukiah areas for the right deal.
Thanks for looking.

Sold to Killawhale415 I also have a pre lock S&W 28-2 Highway patrolman in .357 magnum with 4'' barrel. It was made 1966 or 1967. It is in solid 85% condition, especially considering it's almost 50 years old... Lock up is tight. Timing is perfect. Trigger is wonderful. Has some holster wear on the original bluing, but overall, an excellent gun. It doesn't have the original wood grips, but rather the Pachmayr target grips. Everyone that is an old smith fan tells me to just hang on to it because they aren't making them anymore and the value continues to go up, not to mention the quality of these older Smiths. Biggest flaw with this pistol is it's missing the windage adjustment screw on the rear site. Brownells has them for less than $10 bucks. I believe it was $16 shipped. Money talks and bs walks. $old to Killawhale415...these pictures aren't doing either of these pistols justice. In the 2nd pic of the 28-2, you can see one of the old style ampersands that smith & wesson used in the 60's. Kind of squashed looking compared to what the more current guns wear...also, the smith is a off roster gun so ftf ppt applies.
