What is wrong with the extractor that makes you think it needs tweeking? What are the marking on the barrel? That will tell if it has been rebarreled. What are the markings on the bolt,op rod, trigger housing?Do you have any gauge to check the muzzle or throat readings?

The only reason I have is when I shot it this last weekend, the en-bloc clip popped out after 6 rounds, and a friend who knows Garands suggested it "may" need something like that. The barrel is marked along the side, but I cannot read it it is so small. I will try to photograph and/or get a magnifying glass.

I can look for housing markings tomorrow. Also, no gauges.

I know enough to say I don't know.
