    To clarify:

There are two types of "registered" prohibited firearms. One is AW's and the other is a 50 cal. If you were did not register a 50 Cal, but had a registered AW lower (AR lower), then yes, you could put a 50 Cal upper on that lower without breaking any laws.

Only way you can legally "create" a 50 Cal firearms absent of having registered one before the ban.

    Oh...and bump.....

Thanks, I will agree, I'm the second owner on the Mosin and I think maybe the first owner totally refinished the stock as it does not look like the rough original finish.

How is the extraction on your Ultramag.

Mine sticks a lot requiring a rubber mallet to open.

Seems to be common with alot of the 50 cal uppers like Bohica, Utramag etc. as some say if you shoot a 50 cal you need to carry the rubber mallet.

Some folks though seem to get lucky and do not have to do such. I am always afraid of breaking the handle and seems like some folks have broken it doing this and had to replace.

Wondering hows yours works and if you did anything (like only certain ammo, lapping the chamber, etc.) to make it so such does not happen.

Anyways love my ultramag, its an older one with the long, long, long barrel. I am only able to do 2.5+ MOA but so far have only shot surplus and have not yet focused on improving accuracy yet. Would recommend for others wanting to own a 50 cal that have a registered AR lower or who would only shoot out of state.

OH, and what scope have you use on yours. I have been lucky using a Bariska upper end model (SWAT) that has not broken yet but could be an additional source to my large MOA.

                                For Sale:

                                1) UltraMag 50 BMG upper: will fit on your 50BMG registered lower or registered AW AR lower. Have put maybe 40 rounds through it. It sports a 26 inch Match Grade FLUTED barrel, has a 3 round magazine that loads in from the side of the upper.

                                Will sell upper for $1950.

Please note that this upper sports a Walther Lothar match grade barrel, barrel fluting, "Have a nice day" engraving, and has the nicer 6 gill shark brake as opposed to the standard 4 gill brake. Also, my upper was one of the first 30 uppers ever made by "welderboy" aka the owner of SafetyHarbor/UltraMag.

                                2) SAFN-49 in 308 (Argentinian). If you know anything about FNs, you will know that these are very rare (especially here in CA). Has a 20 round mag (rebuild kit). This rifle unlike the other FN49s does have a true detachable magazine. Barrel is in pristine condition.

                                Will sell for $1200

                                3) Early production Remington 700 PSS. Has a 24 inch barrel (Remy 700 PSS's now come in a 26 inch barrel). Barrel is factory fluted, has a HS Precision 10 round detachable magazine kit (installed). IOR Valdada one piece rail and rings, Zeiss 3x9 Conquest scope and Harris bipod. Trigger has been professionally worked on to give you a nice crisp 3 pound trigger pull. With Federal Gold Match 168 gr, capable of doing half MOA consistantly on a bad day.

Will sell rifle/scope for $1750 (sorry not splitting anything up).

                                4) Mosin Nagant 91/30. C&R
Cash and carry, stock is beautiful, rifling is dark, but you can see the land/grooves, will throw in 75 rounds.

                                FS: $125 FTF (C&R eligible)

                                5) Benelli M3. Preban (if that matters anymore). Full length magazine tube, HK marked, ghost ring sights. Is used and has been my primary HD shotgun for over 15 years.

                                Will sell for $1100

                                6) Mummy wrapped FAZ enfield Mk4 No2. Never unwrapped, never fired, still covered in cosmoline. It's basically a 60 year old brand new rifle. Has bayonet (although not sure if the bayo serial number matches, whereas the rest of the rifle has all matching serial numbers)

                                Will sell for $725

                                7) MGI modular AR-15 Lower. Bought it in the whole OLL crazy, ended up never doing anything to it. My loss = your gain. Can't post pic cause of the pic limits, but here is the website. Lower will allow you to switch calibers, with a quick change of the magwell. So now you can shoot ARs or AKs mags using different magwells and uppers but the same lower.

New they sell for $500, am selling mine (NIB) for $425

Would like to keep these in CA, but pretty soon I will have to start listing on other websites.
