Had a few people interested and they backed out at last minute because I wanted payment before I shipped it.

I offered to pay before shipping it however you told me you decided you didnt have the time to ship. I even offered to make all shipping arrangements but never heard back from you.

If you have decided that you are again willing to ship let me know.

Will trade for a different .30-06. I just want something I can beat up and this thing is much to nice to take it out and beat it up.

your asking price is good. what i don't understand is why you want something even cheaper to beat up? your asking $350 for the rifle. that is already cheap. that is about cheapest you are going to get for a 30-06. ya know. if the action is smooth as described, why not keep it and use it?? putting scratches on it will not reduce the price of the rifle more than 20-30 bux.

is something wrong with the rifle??

i am a little surprise that the rifle isn't sold.

I just like the newer rifles actions better and they are much lighter this rifle weighs a ton and when I hike in for bears or pigs I go up to 10 miles and it is no fun to carry. Also I like synthetic stocks since they dont show signs of wear and scratches. Also it is harder to find parts for these older rifles if something should happen. I find Savage .30-06s for $200 all day long so I want the cash for this one to buy a newer one. Scratches in this one will reduce the price in half because a new stock is nearly impossible to come by.

That's a shame. I've only shipped a couple of times, but they buyer in both instances insisted on sending funds first, and it wasn't any fiddling amount either. Usually the honor system I see on sales here and at TheHighRoad restores my faith in my fellow man just a little bit.

I have gotten hosed on one deal for my Browning. Funds were sent by the buyer with a confirmed address and I shipped it then the funds were retracted the day I shipped it after I sent delivery confirmation and I never received payment and lost $1000 on a deal and never heard from the buyer again. Sad part is it was my great grandfathers gun and I would have never sold it if I knew that was going to happen so now I am a bit sceptical. I know where the buyer lives but it is a drive and a half to get there and he probably already got rid of it.

If you say so, I am sure that UPS is far better than the Airlines though. Plus I am sure I would be re-sighting it for a different round than you used anyways.

If you decide you need it sold and will ship it you know who to get a hold of......

Until then maybe I might be able to have a buddy in the area get it for me or something but I doubt ill be lucky enough to find one willing
