SOLD: Desert Eagle MK-VII .357 Satin Nickel

    SOLD.

    For Sale:

IMI Desert Eagle MK-VII .357 in Satin Nickel + 2 Mags, box, manual, cleaning tool. Only modification is the addition of a an adjustable Millett sight, white rear, orange front --done by a gunsmith, but I cannot recall which shop.

This was the very first gun that I bought--from TriCity in Fremont. It has fired on the order of 200-400 rounds and has been taken to the range a whopping 3 times!! It has spent the rest of its time, just sitting in my safe.

The very last time that I took it out, (Milpitas I think) I drew a quarter size dot on the target paper with a magic marker, sent the sheet all the way to the wall, and took my first shot. Thinking that I had missed the entire sheet, I brought it back to me so I could make the dot larger... Lo and behold, there was a hole smack in the middle of the dot. I didn't think it would get any better, so on its last trip to the range, this gun fired only a single shot!

The gun is cosmetically and functionally indistinguishable from new, everything is in perfect shape--ok, it does need a good cleaning, but I will get to that.

Sorry for the blurred closeups... might explain why I am such a bad shot.

I am in Menlo Park, so I can meet you at any FFL in the mid peninsula... the new Gun Vault in Mountain View would be my preference.

*sigh* I remember Tri-City. Nice piece; did it come from the factory with the nickle finish or did you have it re-finished?

Factory finish, and quite nice at that. TriCity also had a bunch in shiny chrome at the time, but the satin nickel just looked best to me. Thanks for looking.

Can this model be converted to the 44 magnum or 50AE using those barrels, or is this strictly 357 magnum.

An MK VII .357 has different physical dimensions than an MK XIX .357.

To convert a an MK VII to an MK XIX (And other calibers) you would need a conversion kit consisting of a slide assembly, barrel, gas piston, recoil spring assembly, magazine and grips.

You would also need separate bolts. You would need the .357 bolt for .357, and a .44 bolt for .44 and .50ae, along with the appropriate barrel/magazine.

No problem. BTW, these are tremendous guns. I own an MK XIX Desert Eagle (Converted from a .44 MK VII)chambered in .50ae, and it's one of my favorite guns that I own.

I shot a 44 version last week and was surprised that the recoil was not that bad, compared to SW 500. Mind you the 50AE might be a different story.

Thanks BiggSean for the info. Complete aside... who normally pays the transfer fee, buyer or seller? As you can tell, this is my first time selling a gun. Cheers, (only medium) Shawn

Normally the buyer pays all fees. Consider it like buying a used car, wherein the buyer pays all the registration fees.
