I normally don't buy Rack grades, but this one was hand selected in the CMP South store in Aniston AL. It nicer than every Field grade I inspected in the stores.
Springfield Armory November 1943 WWII Receiver, 51 replacement SA barrel, postwar SA op rod, BMP trigger group. Later war SA bolt, looks like walnut HG's stock might be beech wood, fwd HG has repaired crack, bolt dissasembled and headspace verifed good. See pics for pitting.
Like I said I normally don't by Rack grades, but here's the good part of this one, as you may know the CMP does not mark barrel measurements on Rack grades since many if not most needs replaced, but the TE measure just under 3 and the ME is under 1 with an excellent bore and good crown. Barrel is as nice or nicer than the 2 service grades i bought. So ME just under 3, TE just under 1.
Can provide pic's. of ME& TE.
Comes with manual, CMP certificate with my name on it, ill include 5 Enblocks. No new CMP case since they now limit you to 1 per year. I might throw in an older Tan CMP case if you want it, might have a crack in the end? Not sure what I have left.
I have not fired this rifle.
I bought this in person so I paid CMP price plus Aniston sales tax of 10% I drive from Cleaveland to AL (12 hrs) and stay the night in a hotel to buy so just trying to re coup some $. Family Emergency came up forcing me to sell.
Fresno Area,
I will put preference to local sale and whoever can get the deal done the soonest. especially to C&R and COE holder since no FFL is required.
Might deliver short distance for a small fee to cover my time and gas.
Asking $850 OBO.
I also have new CMP wood sets I finish that can be swapped out for an additional $200. Over negotiated Rifle price.
Buyer pays transfer fee if not C&R and COE holder.
No trades.
