It takes all GI parts. Shoots good. What is FTE?

Comes with one USGI 15 round magazine that is new, just taken from wrap.
        Ahem.

Specifics aside, got any .30 carbine ammo to unload?

i can vouch for Plainfield's GI-compatibility. Plainfield used some surplus GI parts in production, and mine has had all springs and several small parts replaced with NOS GI parts. mine definitely came with a GI slide; Plainfield GI parts will be marked "P". it is an excellent shooter, and with a type III barrel band (bayo mount), well-fitting stock, and handloads, i can put all 15 on a man-sized steel at 200 yards (offhand, shh).

FTE is Fail to Extract/Eject. the worst part of the Carbine's otherwise sturdy design is the thin extractor claw. it can get bent, worn, or broken, but it is easy and inexpensive to replace. know your bolt, love your bolt.

Thanks Mister Dize. Sorry, no ammo.
I know FTF is Face To Face, what is FTE?
Because this is a commercial receiver, I doubt it falls under C&R. Does anyone know for sure? Otherwise, it will have to be transfered, or go to an FFL folks.

Silly me. I thought I was being asked to sell it cash and cary.
A lot of Plainfields had headspace and feeding problems. Replacing the Plainfield bolt with a GI one was a fix for that problem.

being a commercial receiver has no bearing on if its a C&R. It has to do with the age of it.. and the Plainfields are not C&R they were made in the late 60's.

You need to change the wording in your ad, unless you have a High cap. mag permit and you are offering the 15 round magazine to LEO's only you are BREAKING THE LAW[felony] by offering to sell a high cap. magazine with that rifle to civilians. The magazine can only be transfered dissassembled as replacement parts, not as a complete working magazine unless you have a high cap. magazine permit and are offering the magazine for sell to LEO's only which I do not see in your ad. The Ca. DOJ/BOF watches this forum VERY CLOSELEY for just this kind of violation. You have been warned. Change your ad and dissassemble the magazine.. now before you get to feel the jackboots.

Last time I checked, only US Military are not "civilians", the rest of us are, including cops. But that is another subject for another thread.
