Absolutely stunning WWII 1903-A3 manufactured by Smith Corona. Receiver dates the rifle July-Aug 1943, barrel dated 7/43. This rifle is 100% correct for a Smith Corona production rifle. Pinned scant stock (by Keystone), FJA inspector stamp, double cannon cartouche, large waffle pattern butt plate, circle P proof mark, (4) acceptance stamps w/ diamond above the internal mag plate, rounded band spring slot, "X" marked bolt, SC marked/dated barrel, correct SC type barrel sight hood marked G (Gotham Corp). The parkerizing is in exceptional condition, the stock shows minimal signs of handling/use, the 4 groove barrel is super bright and shinny. Comes with 1944 dated USGI canvas sling. This rifle would be near impossible to upgrade and will make an amazing investment piece to anyone's collection.
