A .30-30 is like a shotgun, no home should be without one. Some people tend to forget this caliber rifle was carried by many lawmen at one point or another. Having more buildings around hasn't made the round less effective. Heck, if I were to shoot at something in an urban environment (+/- 150 yds) I'd rather use a .30-30 than a .223. But maybe that's just me
Bump for a great rifle/caliber.

Agreed. I was dying for a 30-30 Lever action just 2 months ago but finally found one on Calguns. Good luck. I'd be all over it if I didn't already own one.A .30-30 is like a shotgun, no home should be without one. If the author of the Declaration of Independence were to utter such a sentiment today, the Post Office Department could exclude him from the mail, grand juries could indict him for sedition and criminal syndicalism, legislative committees could seize his private papers ... and United States Senators would be clamoring for his deportation that he... should be sent back to live with the rest of the terrorists.
