Can you believe a woman can actually tell a difference between handguns? The Walther really impressed me with it's accuracy.

Did your Walther already get sent in for the hammer block recall & fix?

        Recall notice

From the date you purchased it, it sounds like it would most likely fall under the range covered in the recall. You can check your serial number against the list in the link above...

i DONT recommend sending it off right now. just transfer it and dont load it, then send it off when the wave of guns dies out.

i sent mine off right when it came out months ago, and they are telling me its 1 year out from now.

A year? Well, that about sucks, doesn't it? Of course, so does an accidental discharge...

Even if you don't mind the DA pull on the first round, it sounds like it's a definite risk should you decock it before the magazine is empty...

Sure thing... does yours rattle? I've seen more than a few with not many rounds down the pipe that rattle like the muffler on a '74 pinto...

Price Reduced To Stimulate the Economy...Mine!

Price reduced to $450. I haven't sent it out for the recall since they told me it's going to be quite some time. However they did ask if I heard a rattle when shaking the gun. There is no rattle or anything that sounds like it's loose. Walther is taking a precautionary move with the recall to cover all of their PPK/S just in case.

                      No rattling issues here.

Hey, guys. What exactly is the issue with the hammer block? What ISN'T the gun doing or what can go wrong? I'v thought about getting a Walther 380 but not if I have to send it away.

Go to this link regarding the PPK and PPK/S issue, you can also check to see if the serial number is on the list for repairs.
