With all my respect, this is a sporterized Enfield No1 built on a SMLE receiver with British WW1 mag block and a No1 Mk3 bolt.

What your saying is mostly correct. That is what a No 1 MK 5 is. The rifle uses a SMTLE receiver made in 1924 marked V. It uses the mag disconnect carried over from WW1 and MK3 similar bolt. It has matching serial numbers and proof marks. As I stated the front half of the stock has been Sporterized. These rifles are the most rare Enfields available. That’s why people don’t know what it is. Look online do some research. That’s all I can suggest.
