the mags are probably "standard capacity" magazines. And since it's a newer design, there would be no "rebuilt kits" available.

The essence of Western civilization is the Magna Carta, not the Magna Mac. The fact that non-Westerners may bite into the later has no implications for their accepting the former.

EDIT 2020: To be fair that seems to apply to many Westerners also.

If you were only closer to San Francisco! I really wanted a M&P to add to my collection of XDm pistols.

Couldn't you buy a "rebuild kit" for this gun and use a spring from a pre-ban glock, HK or beretta 9mm mag? One of my friends did that with a M&P 45 mag and it works great, I just wonder about the legality.

There's places that sell just the spring. Why would anyone want to buy a whole magazine and just use the spring unless perhaps they have the idea of keeping the magazine intact or down the line use it as it is. That is against the law unless they have an exemption.

I WILL NOT sell or CONTRIBUTE to anyone any magazines that will break the law period.

you could make your own for very cheap if the OP gave you the mags in pieces.

Yes there are. I've seen them for sale on gunbroker and occasionally here. You can also call S&W .

This is a STEAL! More than $200 less than I paid for mine 5 months ago!

The 10 round mags are out there, tho not as plentiful as Glocks or others. S&W was giving away extra mags with new gun purchases, so they were running short. At this price, however, it's worth searching them out.
