      7.5x55
Its very close to a 308 as far as power. They also use a 308 bullet if you reload. Check out www.swissrifles.com if you want more info.

These are all gone for now. Thank you, everyone.

I have a couple more in slightly nicer condition that I may sell at a later date. In the meantime, if you are looking for a K31, please feel free to send me a PM.

Okay. I finally got around to photographing my remaining carbines! I also need to make room for an incoming Winchester.

K31 890031 is withdrawn. This carbine has some history. It was manufactured in 1947, refurbished in 1955, and re-issued to Peter Riva of Sargans. I translate his assignment as staff for the 53rd Heavy Cannon Battery.

Note Mr. Riva’s initials on the stock.

K31 251443 is SOLD (was $250). It was manufactured in 1956 and still has the original rear sling bracket. As I was preparing this one, I discovered that the finish around the new serial number had been damaged. It looks like Century might have covered this with ink, but it wiped right off. A little cold blue could fix this blemish, if the new owner so desires.

This one also has an identification tag, but it is too dirty to read. I can only make out that the soldier who hailed from Oberrieden was part of a rifle company.

These are over 50 years old, so they are cash-and-carry here in California. However, I do have to collect ID information for my bound book.

On 251443 - is the rifle's s/n also found in the stock and magazine? Is the CAI serial number on the left hand side of the receiver a double print? I ask that question since the s/n appears to be a lot more pronounced or deeply imprinted. How "big" or "wide" is the worn finish on that side - the spot that CAI painted over?

You can see a patch of discoloration around the import markings in this photo.

The patch is now bare steel.

The magazine is a non-serialized replacement. I haven’t disassembled the carbine, so I can’t verify the numbers on the stock. That said, it has no rebuild markings, so I expect a match.

I love the K31 I acquired a few months ago from a fellow Calgunner. Added a steel clamp-on mount and a Leupold FX-II scout scope - deer season here I come.

FYI, AIMSurplus is selling 70s surplus military ammo at a good price lately:
WTB: French & Finnish firearms. WTS: raw honey, tumbled .45 ACP brass, stupid cat.

They’re sold out of GP-11 again. I’ve had great luck with Prvi Partizan, which can be more readily used at ranges in southern California.

Purchase with full confidence from Matt! (MD Van Norman)

I bought my very first K-31 from him over a year ago and it has since become one of my favorite rifles in my safe.

I wish he had these up for sale before. These have the soldier's tags! Mine didn't come with these, and has mild beaver chews, but what he has up for sale right now are gems.

He's an awesome seller and extremely knowledgeable. free bump.
