Other info: THIS IS NOT A US NAVY VERSION. This rifle came to me from my grandfather via my father and I have zero interest in it. According to Remington Historical, based on the serial number this rifle was produced in 1886. It's got its wear and "patina" but is in pretty damn good shape for it's age. Wood stock is in great shape, no cracks but some slight dings/scratches as expected.Bore appears to be in really good shape. Bolt cycles very smoothly. I have not tried to do any clean up what-so-ever on the barrel, action or stock. The bad. It's missing the cleaning rod and magazine.
