The Feds are already watching this forum. Please don't post illegal out-of-state purchases like this one.

And if this is a post from a fed trying to trap somebody: nice try, we know what the law is.

As for LE's buying the gun: maybe it is legal, but that is not the understanding I was given when I spoke to the people at DOJ in sacto. LE's are allowed to buy non-list guns if they have a legitimate service requirement, not allowed to collect any gun they want for personal consumption. I was also told non-list purchases had to be through department channels, not private sales for personal use.

I am not giving legal advice, but I do think we need to educate out of state sellers they can't sell their non-list guns here on this forum. Just my opinion.

Bounty Hunter- Your information is wrong, law enforcement may buy off list handguns without regard to how it will be used. Assault weapons are the ones that require departmental approval.

And here is the link to back it up. http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/exemptpo.php

Policy Change Regarding State Exemptions for Authorized Peace Officers

Effective immediately, peace officers who have legislative authority to carry and use firearms may, without a letter signed by the head of their agency or the agency head's designee, purchase non-rostered handguns and/or large capacity magazines. The peace officer must present a valid peace officer identification card and the dealer must retain a copy of the identification card on file. (PC 12132 & 12133). A letter is still required from the head of the agency to exempt the peace officer from the ten day waiting period. (PC 12078).
There is nothing that requires it to be duty-related.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

O.K. everybody, I'm just a Python collector from Texas.I know cals laws are pretty strict and most people don't want to sell or ship there firearms into cal.I don't mind selling to anyone in cali. as long as cali. laws will permit it.

But , please always let me know if there's a firearm that is not allowed to be sold or shipped to cali. because i don't know the law's in cali. like yal do.
