"bullet button" are no longer CA legal compliance devices
Starting 01-01-2017...
It is illegal to import, make, or transfer a semi-auto centerfire rifle with a "bullet button" style maglock.
In order to legally be able to import, make, or transfer a semi-auto centerfire rifle in CA, in must be in one of the following configurations:
A. Set up as a featureless semi-auto centerfire rifle.
B. Set up as a semi-auto centerfire rifle with a fixed 10 round magazine.
^In order to be considered a "fixed magazine", the magazine must be contained in the firearm and can not be removed without disassembling the firearm's action or must be welded/epoxied/riveted into the firearm's magazine well.
C. Set up as a manually operated rifle.
^The semi-auto parts need to be removed from the firearm (gas tube/piston removed and gas block removed or blocked/plugged).
D. Set up as a rimfire rifle.
E. Sold as disassembled parts.
Therefore, in order to not have your WTS ad deleted... (Your rifle, as it is currently configured, is illegal to import and transfer in CA)
You need to advertise it for sale in a CA legal configuration.
^See above options A thru E.
If you are selling it as a "fixed magazine", you need to indicate how it meets CA's 2017 definition of a "fixed magazine".
Such as...
"ARMagLock and 10 round magazine installed"
"Patriot Magazine Release (PMR) and 10 round magazine installed"
"Franklin Armory DFM installed"
"10 round magazine welded into magazine well"Last edited by Quiet; 03-15-2017, 6:33 AM.sigpic
