The FN Browning Trombone is a pump-action long takedown rifle designed by John M. Browning in 1919, patented on 1 August 1922 and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal Belgium from 1922 to 1974. Only 150,000 were ever made
The rifle has a .22 caliber chamber, a tubular magazine, 24-inch round barrel, wooden semi-pistol grip stock. Models made in the late 1960s featured a dovetail notch for mounting scopes.
this rifle appears unfired and near mint. there is a small 1/8" area on top of the reciever where the finish has worn off, but there is no metal damage and there are a few minor nicks in the stock. there are no cracks and the finish is original with no rust or pitting and a beautifull deep blue finish
serial no is 143xxx. many experts believe that this is around 1969/1972. has the dovetail scopegrove which is post 1969. Made in Belgium, its marked Fabrique Nationale, Brownings Patent and several beautiful proof marks. there are no importer marks.
Although the rifle was never commercially imported into the United States, some made their way there by way of returning service members, small lots, and other various means.
no shipping. PPT in LA area. I can provide high quality, detailed pics to serious buyers, as this site only host lower quality images that dont do the gun justice. This rifle is super rare and Belgian made FN-Brownings are super collectable.
