Very nice M1 Garand. Receiver/barrel dated to 1943. This is not a CMP rifle, but has obviously been through a re-arsenal. Has RA stamp and "P" cartouche Bought several years ago at estate sale. Last time my father and I had it out to the range, it short stroked on some of the old surplus ball ammo we were using, but cycled fine on Hornaday M1 ammo. The surplus ammo has a significantly longer OAL vs. the Hornaday. Possibly op-rod Spring starting to wear out. The op-rod piston was mic'd and is with in spec. Leather sling NOT included, but I do have a date matching canvas sling which is also correct for the M1 Garand. I also have 1 spam can of CMP surplus ball ammo. Thank you...
