SOLD: Custom Ruger RPR in 6 Dasher - San Jose Area

    Model: RPR

    Caliber: 6 Dasher

Location (city or county): San Jose / Morgan Hill

    Price: SOLD

Selling face-to-face only. PPT to be done in the San Jose bay area. Cash only. Other payment methods possibly. Buyer pays transfer fees.

Selling my Ruger Precision Rifle so I can build another F-Class gun. This gun is really unique and you will most likely be one of a handful of people in the country with this setup. It will come with the original box and manuals.

It is painted by me and I will provide the custom color paint so any touch ups can be done by you as needed. This pattern really helps to hide any scratches or dings later on if you decide to hunt with it or take to tactical matches.

The Ruger RPR has a custom Hawk Hill, Medium Contour, 28" finished length.
It is chambered in the scary accurate 6 Dasher cartridge. Look up the 6 Dasher and you will see that it is a cartridge that is dominating benchrest and mid-range F-Class competitions for good reason. The most recent Sacramento Valley Mid-Range Championships were held late March and 7 of the 9 shooters were shooting 6 Dashers.

The gun has exactly 257 rounds down the barrel and barrel life for the 6 dasher will go anywhere from 2,000-2,500 rounds under normal shooting conditions.

If shot as a F-class gun, it will go 1,500 rounds no problem and you would have no problems competing in F-Class mid-range matches.

The gun will come with 2 Magpul AI mags that feed the 6 Dasher excellently and a Bob Sled AI block that allows for 100% reliable single shot feeding.
It will come with the popular Bushnell HDMR 3.5x21x scope, Millet rings and a Vortex bubble level. The scope is a mil/mil scope. Look up the reviews on this scope. It is a great scope for the money and in an unbiased side-by-side testing, it held its own very well against the $2K+ scopes.

The best part is you will get (94) fireformed 6 Dasher brass that have about 2 firings on average for each brass (which is about what is needed to get the shoulders sharp). I can shoot the other 21 cases so they are fireformed, but you can do the last bit yourself so you get used to how the fireforming process works. I will provide the fireform load as well, which is also scary accurate. It will be ready to go and I will provide the match load I am shooting with it, which is shooting easy 1/4 minute 3-shot groups. Brass life is usually 10-18 firings based on your load.

The load with the 108BT is going about 2960 fps and has a recoil similar to a .223. For dies, the Whidden 6 Dasher dies are PERFECT for this chambering. Buy the sizer and seater die and you are ready to go. I will even supply some fired pieces (unsized) so you can measure the fired case to set your dies to bump the shoulders the way you want.

It will also come with a bipod and adapter for the Ruger Rail system. The bipod also sports a pod-loc so controlling the cant of the gun is easy and consistent.

Asking $2,900 and seller pays transfer fees. Retail, you would be paying closer to $3,700 dollars for this set up.

Optionally, I will sell the Berger 6mm, 108 Boat Tail bullets that the gun has a load developed for. Although, it should be no problem to work up your own load if you want to shoot another bullet since the brass is already formed. I have 1,000 bullets and will sell for what I bought them for...$180 per 500 ct box.

Here is a recent 5-shot group done at 100 yards.

Here is a picture a fireformed 6 Dasher case next to the parent 6BR case.

This is a great buy for someone looking for a turn-key PRS-winning rifle.

Note the cost breakdown, this is a deal.
