Howdy:
I recently acquired a Savage Model 99k. Deluxe engraved takedown. 300 savage. Lyman tang sight, and Novske scope on side mount (likely cutting edge when installed obviously reduces value now). Serial number dates it to 1929. Bore looks good, very nice wood in good shape with some dings- scar in right grip panel checkering, very small chip in Schnabel, small initials carved near buttplate. Bluing very nice. Cycles smoothly, i have not shot it. Boat repair means sell. I am about to list on Gunbroker, wondering if there is any local interest. Entertaining offers. With the tang sight valued at @$200 and run over the mill 99s at $500 I am looking at something near $1k minimum.
